Zama officially opened its doors to the public December 2009. We are located just steps from Rittenhouse Square at 128 S. 19th Street between Sansom and Walnut. Chef Hiroyuki "Zama" Tanaka opened with a dream to serve traditional Japanese cuisine in modern style to the city of Philadelphia. After working at sushi landmarks for 20 years, Hiroyuki Tanaka was ready to open his own sushi bar and restaurant.
